Which Format Do You Need?

  • I just need the files

A standard .img sector image plus the raw files extracted to a ZIP. This covers 90% of personal and business use cases.

  • I need to use files in an emulator

Request the platform-native format for your system (e.g. .adf for Amiga, .d64 for Commodore 64, .st for Atari ST). These mount directly in emulators without conversion.

  • I need maximum archival fidelity

Request a flux image (.scp). This is the most future-proof format: it can be decoded to any sector format later and preserves the full magnetic state of the disk.

  • I need to replay the disk in a real machine

Request .hfe. Hardware floppy emulator devices can replay an .hfe image to emulate a physical floppy drive, keeping your original equipment running without a physical disk.

  • I need to read old documents

Request modern conversion (+€10/disk). We extract the raw files and convert legacy word processor and spreadsheet formats into PDFs and DOCX files you can open today.
